Today, VERQUIN Confiseur designs, produces and sells a wide range of sweets, also in sugar free, in its own brands and private label brands, for adults and the whole family at an affordable price for all.
1912
The Company's history began with VERQUIN Bakery and Pastry.
1925
A biscuit factory, called, "3 Cigognes", entered its first stage of development through the production and trading of biscuits and sweets.
1952
Both businesses separated and the Company became specialised in confectionery products.
1957
Creation of the ''Miner's Drop''.
1968
When Georges VERQUIN died, his son took over at the helm of the Company and moved towards modern distribution and production at an industrial level.
1981
As a result of the development of its private label brands, the Company continued to expand and its buildings were extended.
1991
As a result of its considerable success, the Company's move proved to be inevitable. It set up its installation at the TOURCOING site covering 20 000 sqm. while faced with new requirements in terms of quality, productivity and creativity.
2002
The fourth generation joined the Company in order to ensure the development and durability of its independent status within European distribution.
2004
Dessert Sweets were created (Recognized as Flavour of the Year 2005) as well as a new range of sugar free soft sweets.
2005
Launching of a new range of sugar free mini sweets: "Miner's Pastille" mini herbal drops and Mini Pine sap. New sugar free lines to reflect the new identity of Georges VERQUIN brand with a redesigned logo, and another positioning into the "light" segment of the candy category.
2006
Since June 2006, VERQUIN Company has been certified IFS and BRC.
2007
VERQUIN Company celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Miner's Drop and launch a sugar free variation in pocket size of this traditional candy.
